Ron Dutt, CEO of Industrial Lithium Battery Maker Flux Power, Named One of Food Logistics’ 2017 Champions: “Rock Stars of the Supply Chain”

VISTA, Calif., March 16, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Flux Power Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB:FLUX), a developer of advanced lithium batteries for industrial material handling applications such as electric forklifts, announced today that CEO Ron Dutt has been named one of Food Logistics Magazine's 2017 Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.

Food Logistics’ Champions List recognizes influential leaders in the food and beverage industry whose vision, achievement, and hard work have shaped and continue to attain milestones in productivity, innovation, efficiency and safety. The Champions List highlights the achievements of those individuals who go above and beyond their expected duties to ensure the global food supply chain’s vitality and professionalism.

“Our industry benefits from the vision and dedication of early pioneers and contemporary entrepreneurs like Ron Dutt and the Flux team by transforming the power options that the food logistics industry can now consider,” noted Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics.

Flux Power’s lithium-ion LiFT Pack battery technology provides an enormous opportunity to optimize food and beverage industry supply chains by enhancing productivity, providing faster charging, longer operating times and eliminating battery maintenance while also reducing fixed costs. Moreover, Flux LiFT Packs are based on safe cell chemistry and are the first UL 2271 listed lithium battery offering to power forklifts – the indispensable workhorses of food logistics.

Ron has successfully led the commercial development of new lithium battery technology that replaces lead-acid batteries and brings significant performance, cost and environmental benefits to the food supply chain and other markets. Flux LiFT Packs currently power smaller (Class III) forklifts but development is underway to expand its offerings this year to meet customer demand for larger and more powerful Class I & II lift equipment.

“I’m very grateful for this acknowledgement of the Flux team’s efforts by Food Logistics. We’ve been very impressed with the vision and openness of the food industry to trying a new power solution for their forklifts,” said Flux CEO Ron Dutt. “Our solution’s efficiency, reliability and safety, combined with a lower total cost of ownership was quick to resonate with this audience, generating some of our earliest customers and pilots. We appreciate this support and are excited to see more customers gaining the benefits of Flux lithium power.”
